“Whoever among you wakes up healthy, feeling safe and secure, with enough food for the day, it is as if he has acquired the whole world.”
I’ve pondered over this statement by Prophet Muhammad for a long time.
It puzzled me. How could such seemingly modest blessings equate to possessing the entire world?
When I witness the devastation and suffering in Gaza, now I understand.
Imagine being wounded, surrounded by darkness beneath the debris, unable to call for help.
Picture losing all your loved ones. No amount of wealth can bring them back.
Feel your empty stomach, casting shadows of deprivation that stretch into an uncertain horizon.
A torrent of anguish engulfs you, Jawad, as you wrestle with the sense of powerlessness to protect or provide for your family.
I understand. I truly grasp it now. And I genuinely aspire to never overlook God’s blessings.
